Shea butter is an ingredient that moisturises all parts of the body. It is a natural vegetable fat usually whitish or yellowish in color with a creamy texture when stored at room temperature. It comes from the shea nut which grows naturally in the sub-Saharan region, from Senegal to Uganda. Very close to Cocoa butter, it can be used as a substitute for the preparation of chocolate. Shea butter is also widely used by major cosmetic and pharmaceutical groups for its many benefits.
